Joseph and His Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat

On the 21st and 22nd of June our Year 7 children, supported by the choir from year 6 and 5, performed the popular musical 'Joseph and his amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat'.

Speechless!

Joseph and his Astounding Technicolour Dreamcoat stuns the audience.

Joseph and his spectacular technicolour dreamcoat is all about a father who favours one of his twelve sons. What a special relationship they have. The other eleven brothers definitely do not approve of Joseph so they make up a cunning plan to get rid of Joseph forever.

All of the effort put into Joseph was amazing. The talented pupils from P7 were the cast and the P5 and P6 classes also played a big part as the choir. Overall the performance was spectacular.

The background and costumes definitely topped of the show. The props made by some of the teachers enhanced the performance. The amazing dreamcoat took up the whole stage.

Joseph played by Emma Simpson has such a beautiful singing voice. Not to mention all the songs Joseph and the narrators had to learn. The narrators were Katie Fulton and Melissa Pauley both outstanding singers. Pharaoh played by Harry Nicholson made everyone laugh with his Elvis style performance (I’m guessing all the parents knew who Elvis was). Potiphar and his wife really showed us how to live in style. The eleven brothers also played a massive party really showing us their singing talents. I personally thought the Ishmaelites were pretty cool in their Hippie style outfits. The male and female dancers showed us how to rock and roll in Egypt with all of their special dances. From Joseph to the dancers everyone did an outstanding job!!

The audience really loved our performance. There was a lot of giggles coming from them but at the end we got a standing ovation! I personally loved the performance because they used empathy very well so I thought I was in Egypt really watching it happen. Well done to all the cast members!
