At St James's PS, we are delighted to be partnered with our local GAA club, Wolfe Tones GAC. Many of our students enjoy attending the Sunday sessions at the Valley, where a committed group of coaches teach children of all ages the skills of Gaelic football, camogie and hurling. In addition to this, many of our pupils have successfully represented the club in various competitions over the years. We are also delighted to have coach Mike visit our school regularly to enhance our PE curriculum and host our end of year P7 blitz. The children have enjoyed these sessions so much that we have been inspired to start our own after-school GAA clubs for KS1 and KS2. We certainly have no shortage of future GAA stars in the making!
