Last week our class had a lot of fun putting our learning into action! We have been investigating how things are made and we have been fascinated by bridges. We spent our ICT time researching the different types of bridge and how their features create a stable structure. Following this, we decided to design our own bridges but instead of using concrete or wood, we needed to construct the strongest bridge possible using only paper, lollipop sticks, masking tape and paper straws. What seemed like an impossible task was made easy from all of our teamwork and research. Some groups even managed to make a bridge that supported all of the weights placed upon it! Amazing work and lots of fun too!
