Celebrating Languages
23rd Sep 2016
The European Day of Languages is on Monday 26 September but because our children are off school on that day, we celebrated the event today. In St James's we are very lucky to have lots of children from around the world who speak lots of different languages. Today, instead of just celebrating European languages, we celebrated international languages. At Assembly, Year Five taught us some words in Urdu, Mandarin and Polish and Year 3 and 4 performed a song in French. We are most definitely a multi lingual and multi cultural school and we are very proud of the diversity of our school community.
