Our Eco Council kick-started the New Year by holding assembly on Friday. They raised valid points about how we each play an important role in looking after our school environment and gave examples of how by doing small things like turning off lights, using recycling bins and putting lids back onto pens and glue sticks, that we can help our school to be more Eco-friendly. The Eco Council then announced the themes of our monthly Eco-Warrior award from January until June. It will be exciting to see which class wins the first award at the end of January. They finished the assembly by singing our school Eco song ‘We Are the World,’ originally a charity song written for Africa in 1985.
