Eco Council Recycle Week Assembly ♻️

15th Oct 2024

The Eco council held an assembly to start off Recycling Week 2024. The children talked about the importance of reducing, reusing and recycling our resources both at home and in school. They shared some ideas of things we can do to help reduce the amount of waste we produce in order to protect and preserve the world we live in.

As part of our Eco action plan, the children have decided to make waste one of our major topics therefore we needed proper recycling bins to be provided in each classroom to support our mission of waste reduction. After lots of searching and asking around to local authorities and businesses, with no luck, we finally received a call from Joanne, our super helpful Community Champion from Tesco Northcott Shopping Centre. Joanne was able to allocate and donate robust recycling bins and bin bags for every class in the school! We are so grateful for this donation and as a school we are eager to use the bins correctly to help reduce our waste. Thank you Joanne for your kindness and support as we embark on our journey to achieve our Eco flag.
