The writing genre in Year One for this term is ‘Instructional Writing’. Today Year One contributed ideas as a whole class to a shared writing lesson. Together we wrote instructions on how to make a jam sandwich. We understand the purpose of instructions and discussed the importance of writing instructions in chronological order. We even allowed them to make a yummy snack! Well done Year One!
