Learning about People Who Help Us in the Nursery
As part of our theme ‘People Who Help Us’ our Nursery boys and girls had two special visitors.
Our first visitor was Senan’s mummy, Mrs Haughian, who came to talk to the children about her special job in Lindsay House. We had a great chat about how Lindsay House support their residents during their time there with PECS symbols and signs.
Our second visitor was Averie’s mummy, Mrs Henron, who came to talk to the children about her important job as a dentist. We met her friend Kyle the Kangaroo who had hurt one of his teeth. He got some special treatment and was made to feel a lot better. We also had a big chat about how we can look after our teeth, what foods make our teeth happy and sad, and also how to brush your teeth. Mrs Henron kindly gifted all the boys and girls with a tooth brushing chart and they each received a new toothbrush from the HSC Community Toothbrushing Programme.
Thank you to both Mrs Haughian and Mrs Hendron for coming to meet our Nursery children and to talk to them about their special roles as People Who Help Us.
