P5 went to Ulster Museum in Botanic Gardens, Belfast. I arranged an art workshop as part of the visit. The workshop was focused on ancient Chinese pottery. Colleen, an art expert from the museum, explained the history and skills behind each piece and the children were able to design their own pottery decorations.
After this we did a quick tour of most of the exhibitions, including Takabuti, the famous Egyptian mummy and a collection of glowing, radioactive rocks! What a great day out!
