On Thursday the 8th of November as part of the 'Getting Ready to Learn' initiative we held our 'Big Bedtime Read' in the Nursery. The children came along to Nursery in their pyjamas with their parents and their favourite cuddly toy! While the children were enjoying a bedtime snack of hot chocolate, the parents participated in an information session about the benefits of reading regularly with your child and the negative impact that too much screen time, particularly before bed, can have on our sleep. The children and their parents then enjoyed the chance to listen to a story read by the teachers, before having the chance to snuggle up together to explore some of the wide range of books we have to offer. The children are now enjoying bringing their 'Book Packs' home every Monday to enjoy with their parents.
