Today four girls from Mrs Donaghy's class represented St. James's at the annual Road Safety Quiz held at Mossley Mill. This is the second year our school has taken part in the event hosted by the Newtownabbey Road Safety Committee and the PSNI. Hannah, Olina, Anna and Lara were very excited to be one of the 22 teams attending the event. Teams came from the Newtownabbey and Antrim Borough in one of the many heats occurring around the province.
Our quiz team enjoyed answering a wide range of questions on road safety, pop music and general knowledge. They competed very admirably and answered questions that even stumped Mrs Cross, who accompanied them. Congratulations to the fantastic team who certainly did themselves and our school proud! Although we weren't the winners this time, the girls have their sights firmly set on next year's competition.
