Shared Education in Primary 2
25th Mar 2024
Primary 2 thoroughly enjoyed Shared Education this year and made some lovely friendships over the 5 weeks.
Over the 2 weeks we spent at Whitehouse Primary School and Nursery Unit, we looked at sound sorting different objects, table top activities and PDMU lessons through Sesame Tree. It was lovely to see the children having discussions and putting their ideas forward. At St James's, we focused on hunting outside for colour palettes, signs of Spring and physical activities.
The final day was spent at Hazelbank which was a lovely way to finish off our Shared Education programme together, as the children were able to play in the park, explore the beach and the sensory garden. The friendships formed were very evident and we were so lucky with the weather with the sun splitting the trees. The whole experience was very positive and the children said they wished they could do it for longer.
