The children in Mr Mc Namee’s Year 4 class were so delighted to receive a visit from Ian ‘The Birdman’ this week. As part of our Food for Thought theme, Ian showed a baby owl, a hawk and a kestrel and explained their diets, habits and other interesting facts. Did you know an adult owl can eat up to 6,000 mice in one year? Some children were even allowed to let a bird rest on their hand by using a special glove. It was a wonderful afternoon!
