Our Year 3 children had a wonderful time in Colin Glen Forest Park. First they enjoyed a long walk in the forest ambling through the Gruffalo Trail where they met many of the characters from the story. Next they entered the Fairy Glen where they found the doors to the fairies' houses and they searched everywhere to see if they could spot the fairies who lived there. A minibeast hunt was their next activity followed by pond dipping. Lots of interesting creatures were found and examined! After a lovely Art activity the children returned to the education centre for their lunch. Needless to say they all had a wonderful day.
