St James’s Eco-Warrior Design Competition

22nd Nov 2023

The Eco Council set a whole school task to design an Eco Warrior as a mascot for our team. This design will also be used in our monthly Eco-Warrior Awards. There were so many designs and it was an extremely hard decision, as everyone had put so much effort into their entries.

The Eco council decided to choose a winner from each class in the school, as well as an overall winner.
Congratulations to all the winners and the overall winner was Rhyanna from P5/6. She made a fantastic Eco-Warrior with the power of growing plants and flowers, saving the environment and creating fresh air. The Eco Council decided on the name ‘Earthena’ as a goddess of the Earth.

The Eco-Council are very busy sorting our Winter Coat Recycle Drive. Coats will be available before and after school on Friday this week and on Monday and perhaps Tuesday next week.

This is just one of the events organised by Mrs Bergin and our Eco-Council as we work towards achieving the Green Flag. Keep up the great work Eco-Council!!
